Insight
The name is Gregory Kogan, born in 1987, living in New York City. I'm currently in my final year of college in SUNY Maritime; majoring in Naval Architecture with a United States Coast Guard Engineer's License and Bachelor of Engineering. It sounds more important than it really is.
I've done work in many fields of art, but currently my focus is on cartooning (specifically gag cartoons and cartoon illustrations). Now is a great time for me to experiment with different cartooning outlets and styles, and I'm taking full advantage of that.
New York City is a pretty expensive place to live, so I pick up contract jobs every once in a while to keep my ass off the streets and out of trouble (it was either this or selling candy on the trains). Skip down a bit if you need me.
About EEight
The primary purpose of EEight is to be an online dumping ground of whatever I feel like sharing with the world. At this time, that happens to be my cartoons, cartoon tutorials and my writing.
Using Cartoons
If you'd like to use one of my cartoons for your website, newsletter, publication, presentation, or even for personal use, you can do so by purchasing a temporary license for a small fee. Fees vary slightly depending on your intended use.
It's easy:
1. Find a cartoon you like by searching with keywords, browsing the tags, or just listing through them individually.
2. Once you've found the one, click on the thumbnail to open a larger view and see more options. Fill in the form titled "Use this Cartoon," which is located directly under the cartoon image.
3. Confirm your entered information and proceed to checkout safely and securely with Google Checkout.
4. Receive a high-quality version of the cartoon in several formats, along with license information right in your e-mail!
License Validity
Your license is only valid for the single use which you've specified when making the purchase, and for a maximum of 30 days.
For example, if you'd like to use a cartoon for this week's edition of your in-house newsletter, you must choose "Publication" as the intended use. If you'd like to use a cartoon for next week's edition (even if it's the same cartoon), your previous license is not valid; you must purchase another one.
A license simply gives you the right to use the cartoon in the manner you've chosen as the "Intended Use." It does not transfer to you any rights to the cartoon itself.
Commissioned Cartoons
From time to time I take on contracted projects related to cartooning and cartoon illustrations. If you need either one of the above, don't hesitate to contact me and tell me what you have in mind. My cartooning portfolio displays some of my previous cartooning projects.
